Koh Samui offers diving instructor’s course 7 TO 17 August 2011

Divers can learn to become professional instructors with a specialist course being run on Koh Samui by PADI Platinum Course Director Camille Lemmens.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) will help divers develop the skills to make diving a full time career by being able to teach others the PADI system for diving. The schedule for the course is made up of two sections which are the Assistant Instructor (AI) and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI).

For attendees that get through the AI programme successfully they’ll then be able to help on certain parts of PADI schedules.
During the following OWSI lessons the emphasis will then be on developing the skills for becoming an instructor and this will include regular practical sessions in the pool of the Kandaburi Resort where the classes will be staged. The IA and OWSI both run for four days each consecutively and then candidates will be prepared to take the PADI Instructor Exam (IE) which they must pass to gain the necessary qualifications to become an instructor.

PADI dive courses on Koh Samui The course starts on 7th August until 17th August 2011 and there is also a prep course for two days beforehand for divers to brush up on their skills and demonstrations.

Since 1999 Camille has lived in Thailand working in the dive industry on Koh Samui and many other locations around Thailand and the South East Asian region in general, as a result he has build an extensive knowledge of the local Samui, Thai and South East Asian dive industry which comes in handy when he started conducting IDC’s around Thailand in 2003 and expanded internationally in 2011. He now teaches 4 IDC programs per year on Koh Samui.
