Koh Samui is to become a biker’s paradise when the fourth annual Samui Bike Week takes place on May 4th and 5th 2012.
To be held at Chaweng Lake, the event will celebrate biking culture and promote the destination as a thriving tourism hub, with a wide variety of events and attractions promised.
Bikers’ clubs and major brands such as Harley-Davidson will all attend the event, which is expected to attract Thai and foreign guests alike, with previous editions attended by more than 1,000 people.
Band performances, food stalls, shopping opportunities and a cowboy show are among the items that have been on the programme in the past, in addition to bike contests and other live entertainment.
Samui Bike Week is also used to communicate positive messages such as caring for the environment and the importance of riding with a helmet at all times.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased for 200 baht (£4.10), which includes the cost of two complementary beers.
